Ms Ida Nakiganda

Ida Nakiganda is a lawyer working with the Uganda Human Rights Commission as the Director in charge of Complaints, Investigations and Legal Services. She is a mother of a special needs child currently going to school at Dawn Children’s Centre. Ms. Nakiganda is particularly passionate about issues of equal access for special needs children to quality and inclusive education at all levels(early childhood learning, primary, secondary and higher education levels). She is also an advocate for influencing attitudinal change to ensure appreciation by key stakeholders and the general public of the unique experiences of special needs children in order to protect this vulnerable category of children from discrimination.
