We provide funds and/ or in-kind items, such as food, learning resource materials, medical resources and aids and others to support the needs of individual children and their families, Institutions and Organizations.
We champion the access to quality services for both disability prevention and management through our model centres, mentorship and the sharing of best practices with other organizations. We serve as a link between parents and service providers.
We facilitate Training, Mentorships and Internships for students, in-service professionals, and Organizations to ensure quality service provision.
We established a forum of individuals, organizations and institutions working together to build inclusive and safe spaces for children with disabilities
We promote Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns from family to community and government level, so as to demystify disability, as well as ensure equitable policies and safe practices.
The Special Children’s Trust is a Registered NGO (S.5914/9715) and Hybrid Social Enterprise, that aims to build an ecosystem in which children with disabilities can thrive to their full potential. The Special Children’s Trust works to provide solutions and resources for those who are working in this field to enable them provide quality services for children with disabilities and their families. Currently the Trust works directly with Mukisa Foundation, Dawn Children’s Centre, Berakhah Medical Centre and the Special Children’s Forum, which is a network of organizations and like-minded individuals seeking to create a safer and better world for children with disabilities.
